The PLRA respectfully acknowledges that the lands and waters of Percy lake are the traditional homeland of the Ojibway and Huron-Wendat Nations. Our community is located on/in the Treaty 20 (Williams Treaties) First Nations, which is the traditional territory of the Michi Saagiig Anishinaabek.” As residents of Percy Lake, we are also stewards of the lake, and seek to protect and treasure what it has to offer us.

As the summer season “officially” begins on the July, Canada Day week-end, the PLRA Board extends our warmest welcome and wishes you all an enjoyable and pleasant summer at Percy Lake with friends and family.

First and foremost, we hope that you and your family are well. Now, after over two years of not holding in-person events at the lake due to Covid-19, there is some assurance that “normality” is returning, allowing for activities – get-togethers, etc. to happen.

So this summer, the PLRA will be holding our annual popular traditional Bass Fishing Tournament in August. We are also anticipating that we will hold other events, such as our “annual” picnic and annual general meeting (AGM) in August in-person! We will send out reminders for each event along with relevant details.

There are of course issues that need consideration to maintain a healthy lake, and factors such as lake levels, safe boating, etc., as well as issues dealing with hydro, communications etc.

PLRA MEMBERSHIP – REMINDER

The annual PLRA membership fee is a modest $30 per family. A membership form was sent out several weeks ago and we have had an excellent response so far. So this is another reminder to join the PLRA (A membership form is included for your convenience.)

PERCY LAKE SIGNAGE – a peak preview We are pleased to announce that we (PLRA) have new signage for the lake! We hope to post two signs early July – and trust that you will find the signage picturesque and welcoming to the lake. On behalf of the PLRA Board, have a great time this summer, enjoy what our lake has to offer, and we ask that you practice safe boating.

Best regards,
