2021 Spring Update
05/01/2021
On behalf of the PLRA Board, we extend our warmest greetings to you and your family. We are so fortunate to be able to enjoy the beauty and peace that Percy Lake and our environment affords us. And it is vital that we, as stewards, protect the land, water, and forests, for the present and future generations.
First and foremost, we hope that you and your loved ones are well and safe. With increasing vaccination, protection from the spread of Covid-19 virus, including the variants, is providing some assurance that some “normality” may be returning. However there remains a lot of uncertainty at present, which has cast a shadow on what we at Percy Lake can do safely and what we should not do. Caution is warranted, and especially so, as there are limited resources in many communities to cope with this situation.
While we normally send out seasonal updates that include planned activities, such as fishing tournaments, at this stage, we can only advise to exercise caution. At the same time, we can plan on holding the August Bass Event with the same rules as last August. That event is popular and is one that respects social distancing!
Let’s keep positive, careful, and respectful. And we will be able to enjoy what our lake and our community has to offer.
Best regards,
Anna Tilman
